About Us
Developing the leaders who will shape Africa’s future
The African Leadership Group is an ecosystem of institutions working together to identify, develop, and empower Africa’s next generation of ethical, entrepreneurial leaders.
For more than two decades, our institutions have helped young Africans build the skills, values, networks, and opportunities they need to shape the future of the continent.
Our Vision
A future shaped by African leaders
Africa is home to the world’s youngest and fastest-growing population. This demographic reality holds enormous promise, but it will only translate into progress if young people have access to quality education, relevant skills, meaningful work, and pathways to leadership.
We believe Africa’s future will be shaped by the leaders it develops today.
Our Mission
Developing ethical, entrepreneurial leaders at scale
Our mission is to transform Africa by developing a powerful network of ethical, entrepreneurial leaders who create jobs, solve problems, and drive lasting change across the continent.
We do this by building institutions that support young people at different stages of their journey: from early leadership development to higher education, workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and lifelong impact.
Emily Kagalu
Malawi
Emily turned her long-held vision into E.Agro Trade and Investments, a business built on the conviction that technology can unlock agribusiness opportunities, creating solutions that improve how agricultural systems function and respond to real operational needs.
Caleb Okon
Nigeria
Caleb turned his ALX Data Science training into Pracvarsity, an innovation hub in Benin City built on the belief that students need real workspace and mentorship, giving them the same access and support that once shaped his own journey.
Denis Muchoki
Kenya
Through ALX Ventures, Denis turned his commitment to sustainable mobility into E-Moti, a venture built on the conviction that a 100% electric bus fleet can transform urban transport in Kenya, offering affordable, eco-friendly, and convenient commuting solutions for communities across the country.
Samuel Tembe
Mozambique
Samuel turned personal adversity into advocacy, founding student councils and representing children’s rights in the SADC, National, and Provincial District Children’s Parliaments, a mission built on the conviction that youth leadership can mobilize young Africans around innovation, sustainability, and equity.
Fatmaelzahraa Gouda
Egypt
Fatmaelzahraa turned her determination to help blind individuals into award-winning tools for colour recognition, obstacle detection, and Braille learning, a mission built on the conviction that technology, and now AI, can create meaningful solutions for the blind community.
